Google Ads, previously known as Google AdWords, help to grow your business in a miraculous way possible. Might seem like an exaggeration but it’s true. Google Ads enable you to leverage the many opportunities offered by online advertising.

It’s magical because, through Google Ads, you can be at the forefront of your customer’s search. When customers search for businesses, which are similar to yours, rest assured, you will be at the top.

Google Ads helps you reach the right people at the absolute right time. It also lets you control your expenses. For instance, you would be able to monitor which types of ads get clicked by your customers and which don’t. In that way, you will specifically know in which segment of your campaign to invest.

Subsequently, this can help to accelerate the return on your investment. Not only that but with Google Ads, you can even keep track of the many campaigns you have launched. It couldn’t get any more convenient than that.

However, to take complete benefit of Google Ads, you need an online account and a website to link it with. It’s very easy to sign up and create an account. However, just in case, you still find this all bewildering, we laid out an entire guide for you.

Start The Process

First, you need to visit the Google Ads page, where you will come across a blue button in the upper right corner that says “start now”. Then select the email address you generally use and want to register with.

If you are already registered with Gmail, feel free to go ahead with it. Another generous feature of Google Ads is that you can invite your peers to use your account as soon as you’re done creating one.

Signing In

So, now you have two alternatives. Firstly, if you are already using Gmail, then sign in with your gmail address and password. On the other hand, if you don’t have a Google Account, and you wish to sign in with a separate email address you already have, well, you can do that as well.

For the latter, once you use a different email address, you will be provided with a list of instructions, which you can follow in order to create a brand new Google Account.

Deciding Your Core Advertising Goal

As you proceed to the third step, you will be asked by Google Ads on the type of results that you would want to meet. There are various of them, such as, achieving more calls, increasing the visits to your online store, or, perhaps, you would want to increase registrations on the web or boost sales. Depending upon your business requirement, pick the one that works best and is more relevant.

Now, if you want to see a more elaborate version of the advertising goals available for you, you need to go for Expert Mode. Upon switching to the Expert Mode, you can find a list of steps. They are as follows:

First and foremost, in the Export Mode of Google Ads, you will be informed that the advertising goals will be in detail. Then if you wish to register without selecting an advertising campaign, you can do so by selecting the option in the lower-left corner. You can then create an account without having to choose any particular campaign.

However, if you are immediately seeking to create an ad campaign, then there is the option for that too. In the next step, you will be provided with the type of campaign that you intend to run.

Some of the campaign examples are Video Campaign (running video ads on YouTube), Search Campaign (showcasing text ads on Google search results), Display Campaign (showcasing image ads on particular websites), or Smart Shopping Campaigns (product listings on Google).

Once you select a campaign, you will be asked to input your business name and site name. Afterward, there will be a few more steps provided by Google Ads, follow them properly to launch your desired campaign.

Testing the Default

After you go through the previous step, you will be landed in the setup window for your first campaign. You will be given a default ad type, and let’s say, you are working on a Responsive Search Ad, then you will find that you are allowed to create 4 unique descriptions and 15 catchy headlines.

You might be worried that you need to perfect these descriptions or headlines, well, in that regard, don’t be. This is merely a dummy campaign and Google Ads will provide you with several suggestions for your own convenience. Anyway, after you are done inserting the headline and description, proceed by clicking “Next.”

Selecting the Keyword Themes

In the next window, you’ll be given the option to select keyword themes, so Google can find ads that target those keywords. You don’t have to choose a keyword theme, especially if this is a dummy campaign. Click “Next” and you’ll then be asked to choose a location, and set a budget and duration.

Once you get through those steps, Google will allow you to preview your ad. In this step, you would need to select a particular keyword theme. This would allow Google to find ads, which specifically cater to those keywords. If you are working on a dummy campaign then don’t worry about having to choose a keyword theme. Simply, click “Next” to move forward.

Bill to Finalize the Deal

Okay, that’s an intentional rhyme. But you get the gist, right? It’s time to set up the billion information and finalize the launching of your campaign. You will have the option to have your bills paid through either a bank account or a credit card.

It’s necessary that you be informed that Google takes quite a while to verify your account. So, in case, it’s taking a long, don’t worry. It’s just Google doing its job. But if you are in a hurry, you might want to select the credit card option.

Now, you are all set. You can start building your account and even analyze your campaigns. But first, ensure that you stop running the dummy campaign. That was just for a trial basis, remember? Anyway, for your latter campaigns, you can always monitor them through the “Explore Campaign” option.

Since it’s all done and dusted, run some wonderful but effective ads and make your business reach heights that were previously unprecedented!
