The beautiful thing about the 21st century is that everything is made easy. The world is technology so advanced but it is not possible for everyone to keep up. After all, not everyone is a tech buff and it’s understandable.
Thanks to the actual tech-savvy individuals out there, non-developers are blessed with website builders. One of such blessings is called Wix, founded in 2006, it enables its users to create wonderful HTML5 websites and also, mobile sites by the magnificent utilization of the online drag and drop method. If you are looking to build a website and you are not sure why then go for Wix cause it works like magic!
And it’s okay for you to not believe us but surely, you can take the word of over 120 million users and 4.2 million of them being absolute premium users. That says something, right?
Now there is always something wonderful to look out for in the world of the internet. There was a time we eagerly waited for a chance to step into the cyber world. Just like waiting for a letter from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. These days, the internet is available to everyone and users are trying one thing or the other to make their mark.
Especially, when the pandemic struck in March 2020, there was a mass shift to the world of the internet. A mass exodus, you could say. There was nowhere you could go to and confined in the four walls of your home, spending time on the internet is the most you could do.
While many businesses suffered due to this phenomenon, others benefitted. One such is Shopify whose revenue almost doubled during the Covid-19 period. Statistically speaking, Shopify’s revenue jumped to a staggering $714.3 million in the second quarter directly from $362 million, which was in the year-ago quarter, and from $511 million, which was the analysts’ prediction. All in all, Shopify had a sweet smell of success!
Before the rise of Shopify, which also originated in 2006, merchants faced difficulty to establish and managing digital stores. When Shopify arrived, it worked like a wonder to these merchants. They had access to innumerable groundbreaking characteristics that enabled them to find the perfect harmony between accelerating sales and enhancing their brand image.
Ever since its inception, Shopify made a remarkable name for itself among its users, and gradually, and quite dynamically, it is changing the e-commerce game.
Now you have known about Shopify and previously, you got an idea of how cool Wix is, so, imagine how cool it would be if these two came together? It’s the beginning of a beautiful friendship, don’t you think? Right you are!
When two or more online tools come together, they can do wonders. Shopify and Wix are no different. It’s like Batman and Superman, Captain America and Iron Man, and every other A-team you can think about. Based on this perception, this article discusses how to add Shopify to Wix in a few simple steps.
As we have already rambled so much about the two company’s magnificence, let’s not delay any further and get on with the instructions:
To begin with, you need to visit your Shopify admin, and then proceed on to creating a Buy Button for a particular product or collection. Once you do that, copy its embed code.
For the second step, you need to paste the embed code you had already copied into the Wix website builder or you can even opt for a code editor. Now, you are required to repeat the first two steps till the Buy Buttons you want are created.
Thirdly, it’s all about making the right changes. You would need to edit the embed codes you copy-pasted to make sure they are properly synchronized.
Now go to your Wix account and choose the site you wish to make changes by editing in the ‘My Sites’ section, where you would need to click on Edit Site.
For step 5, go to Wix Website Editor, then pick the ‘+ button’ and once you do that, select the option called ‘More’.
As for step 6, you would need to choose the HTML code in order to add an HTML code widget to your site.
This one’s pretty easy. All you need to do is select the option that says ‘Enter Code’.
Alright, there’s a bit of work here. But fret not. It’s as easy as all the other steps above. Now, when you have arrived at the dialog of HTML Settings, you would need to paste the code you have recently edited for your ‘Buy Buttons’ in the field that mentions ‘Add your code here’. Once you are done with that, click on ‘Update’.
Alright, we are at the endgame now. For step 9, you would need to make changes to the size of the HTML code widget in order to fit the contents. Here’s a piece of advice that may come in handy; in case you are using a cart to create an embed, ensure that the cart tab pops out where it should be.
Well, now, all you need to do is click on Save and enjoy the beautiful friendship between Shopify and Wix.
Both Shopify and Wix have the respective traits that make them stand out. Over the years, users have benefitted by using both, separately. Now, when these two come together, the outcome is more electric!
